- Wash face with Cetaphil in shower (as last step to rinse off the other chems from shampoo/conditioner).
- Apply Isa Knox lotion.
- Apply Nivea Creme under eyes and other dry areas. (I also use the Nivea Creme as a night cream - it's the only thing that helps with my chronic dry skin and doesn't break me out. I use Vaseline at night as my eye cream.)
- Use MAC 195 concealer brush to apply MAC Concealer in NW25 on problem areas.
- Powder face with Shiseido Powdery Foundation in O60 (I've been using this for almost 10 years...it's the only thing that matches my skin tone and provides good coverage)
- Take MAC 266 angle brush, dip into MAC Charcoal Brown eyeshadow, apply to brows.
- Brush off excess powder with MAC 204 lash brush.
- Take MAC Eyebrow Pencil in Spiked - define brows using soft, short strokes.
- Again, brush off excess with MAC 204 lash brush.
- To groom my brows, I use this eyebrow razor. Sounds scary but it's great. I don't pluck because my mom believes plucking stretches the skin around the eye area - who knows if this is true. But I've been using this since I was a teen so it's what I'm used to.
- Take an eyeshadow brush and apply MAC Pigment in Vanilla on brow bone.
- Apply MAC Paint Pot in Painterly on eyelids as an eyeshadow primer/base with my right ring finger.
- Take make-up sponge and generously apply Wet 'n' Wild loose powder in 270 under the eyes to catch any loose eyeshadow. (Any light, loose powder will do. There are 2 benefits to doing this - 1) it prevents loose eyeshadow dust from settling under your eyes which eventually smudges. Not only does this look messy but it can also enhance your dark unde reye circles. And 2) using a much lighter powder will brighten up the unde reye area and help camouflage dark circles.)
- Take right finger and apply MAC Mulch eyeshadow all over eyelids.
- Take another eyeshadow brush and apply MAC Carbon eyeshadow along crease and upper eye area.
- Take 1st eyeshadow brush, dip in MAC Pigment in Vanilla, and use to blend the darker eyeshadows so there's no harsh lines.
- Take Chanel #4 brush, wet it with water, and dip into Carbon eyeshadow to make a paste. I use this as my eyeliner. (I usually fill a shot glass with water so I have it on hand when I need to wet the brush again. It'll take several dips for you to create a nice paste. Oh, and this eyeliner brush is the best I've used. And it's lasted me over 10 years. Make sure you clean it after each use - I pour a little bit of MAC Brush Cleanser onto a wash cloth and just rub the brush back and forth.)
- Take a clean powder brush and gently brush off the loose powder under the eyes.
- Curl lashes with Shiseido curler.
- Apply Fresh Supernova Mascara on lashes.
- While 1st coat of mascara dries, take MAC 219 brush, dip into Carbon eyeshadow (on a dry spot of the eyeshadow), and line lower lashes. Then, swipe brush on a dry wash cloth to clean off excess eyeshadow. Dip brush into Mulch eyeshadow and line lower eyes over the Carbon. (I like to use 2 colors on my lower lashes cuz I find it blends in well w/my upper lids and it's not as harsh looking. I always use Carbon first and then apply whichever eyeshadow color I have on that day on top to layer.)
- Curl lashes again and apply 2nd coat of mascara.
- Re-powder with my Shiseido powder again to clean up face.
- Take a powder brush and apply MAC Enough Said powder along lower cheeks and temples. I use this as a bronzer/contour. (Unfortunately this color is discontinued.)
- Take Chanel #8 brush and apply Bourjois Blush in 34 Rose D'or on apples of cheeks.
- In the photo above, I am wearing Chanel Brush On Creme Lip Color in Creme Caramel.
- Revlon Lipstick in Blackberry (awesome red)
- Milani Eyeshadow in Black Out
- Milani Eyeshadow in Beach Sand
- Kiehl's lip gloss pot in Tawny Gold (this is discontinued, also)
- MAC Lipstick in Rebel
- MAC Lipstick in Blow Dry
- MAC Lipglass in Soft Wave
- MAC Eyeshadow in Satin Taupe
- MAC Eyeshadow in Top Knot (gorgeous rich purple)
- MAC Eyeshadow in Knight Divine
And some miscellaneous stuff...
- I clean my make-up brushes with MAC Brush Cleanser.
- I wash with Dove Sensitive Skin Body Wash.
- I apply Lubriderm Sensitive Skin Lotion on my entire body after each shower.
- My hands love Neutrogena Hand Cream.
- In the evenings I wash my face with Kracie Kanebo Naive Cleansing Oil in Olive Oil. This thing takes off everything including water proof mascara. Pour some in your hands, quickly put your hands together so both are covered with the oil, and on dry skin (do not wet your face) rub all over face. Then just rinse with warm water. I also use a wash cloth when I'm rinsing this to exfoliate a bit. This oil is water soluble so it won't leave a nasty film on your skin. It completely washes off.
- When I need to exfoliate, I use an asprin and honey mask. Take 2-3 uncoated asprin tablets (must be uncoated), lay them on your palm, add a couple of drops of water to dissolve the tablets and create a paste (make sure your asprin paste isn't watery at all, but thick). Mush them with your finger just a little, then pour honey over it, rub your hands together to mix the honey and asprin paste, then rub all over face. Avoid your eyes and rub gently for a couple of minutes. Then let the mask sit on your face for about 5 min. Rinse with warm water. My skin is amazingly soft and glowing each time I do this. It's good to do it at least 1-2 imes a week but my lazy ass probably gets to it about 2x a month.
Whew, that's it! If you've gotten this far...wow, thanks for reading the entire thing. haha Hopefully it was somewhat informative. Happy painting!
P.S. Oh yeah...my hair... I basically just dried it and curled it with a large barrel curling iron. No products. For my usual regimen, go HERE.

Nina, you're a vision. If I could haul you out here for a personalized tutorial, I'd consider wearing makeup myself. ;)
I'm a mac freak. I especially love their lipsticks..I have a collection here. Rebel is one of my favorites! Although, it's a close tie with dark side, dubonet and russian red.
xx-LJ from SOS!
honest, i didn't read the whole thing, just because i don't wear make up! but i have to say you look gorgeousssss, so prettyy!! i looks so natural and pure =D i have a question though, that nivea creme.. isit also for your face? i was about to buy it but i was afraid it's only for the body ? xoxo
this is such an awesome post...I just bookmarked it and will be back to read in further detail because I love makeup...and I love your makeup!
I totally have to try that brush groomer among other tricks you have listed.
great post! love the detailed explanation..
love your hair here!
what do you do in terms of coloring? what is your natural hair color ?
xo
Great post, I'll guess I'll adapt some favourites ;)
You are so beautiful! This was a great post. Is this your everyday routine? Do you wear foundation every day? I really like the flawless look I get with foundation, but try to save it for special occasions as I feel it clogs up my face. And that oil you use for removing your make-up sounds great - must try to get some! :)
Nina, you are SO BEAUTIFUL! :) And thanks for the tips...I will try it! :)
You look amazing, just radiant! And holy Jebus, this post must've taken you ages. I really enjoyed this sneak peek into your beauty routine and your makeup bag. ;)
Sal: You don't need make-up at all! I wish I could go make-up less like you.
SOS!: I love Dubonet & Russian Red, too.
$oulphate: The Nivea is awesome on my face. It's the only things that keeps my severely dry skin moisturized at night. But it might not be for everyone. They sell little $0.99 tins in drugstore - maybe try that first before you splurge on a big tub?
Anonymous: My hair color now is probably the closest to my natural color. I usually dye it dark but the last time I went to the salon my stylist suggested I go "natural" since it'll be summer soon.
Leia: Yes, this is my everyday routine. Sometimes I switch up eyeshadow and lip colors but I usually wear Mulch & Carbon. I don't wear any liquid foundation. The Shiseido Powdery Foundation is like a powder with a bit more coverage.
lisa: OMG, you have no idea how long this took me! haha I actually compiled this post over several days.
Nina, I can't believe you took the time to do such an intricate post. Kudos! And your skin looks crazy flawless by the way, something I can only dream of! I will have a daily makeup routine someday when I decide I want to give up the extra sleep time in exchange for it, haha.
WOW...Absolutely Flawless.
Is asking for a makeup video post too much? :)
i love it!! you look absolutely gorgeous! I wish i knew how to adequately apply my own makeup, on most days its just mascara and lipcolor and i'm out the door! lol.
xox.
The Voguette
ahh soo gorgeous. your skin is glowing & i love your eye makeup! i'd love to see you experiment and show us like day v night looks, etc.!
LIFESAVER!! This is exactly what I need - focused make up tips & recommendations. Whenever I go into MAC/other makeup stores I always get distracted about what to buy but this condenses it down so well. I'd heard people sing the praises of Mac carbon/vanilla but I've been looking for a good brown for so long! Amazing post lady :) xoxo
thanks for sharing! your makeup looks amazing. can i just hire you to DO my makeup for me everyday?? =)

lol @ the eyebrow razor...i think my mom bought one for me as a teen too because plucking would make them sag as I age.
now she constantly complains I need an eyebrow wax lol. i'm just lazy what can i say?
honey and asprin, eh? i really must try that.
What a great post! My make-up routine consists of powder foundation, bronzer, and some chapstick and MAYBE mascara. But it was still interesting to read, and you look GORGEOUS in the pics!
you are incredibly beautiful... and i love your blog

Stunning!! i especially love this b/c it's impossible to find makeup posts/tips applicable to Korean chicks so YAY thanks for taking the time to do this!!
Your make-up looks flawless! I love your eyebrows!! Big props on your eye makeup...that's the most difficult part of my makeup ritual as a Hanguk. Great post!
OHHH my gosh what am amazing post!! this was so informative and interesting :) keep up the good work!
thank you thank you for the very thorough tutorial! your make-up always looks flawless so I'm anxious to try the looks out for myself!:)
fantastic post!
Anonymous: I am so scared to do a video post. haha my nasally, oddly pitched voice is not for the masses. trust. but i'm sure at some point i'll give in.
Alexa: my day & night looks don't vary too much. i usually just end up applying more Carbon to make my eyes smokier for night. that's about it.
tinklestar: I would love to do your make-up...but i should warn you that i'm not really adept at doing other people's make-up. haha
i absolutely LOVE your blogs. very entertaining and informative. =)
quick question: do you use any type of eye cream/gel or do you simply substitute it with nivea and vaseline? i use the shiseido eye soother in the skincare line. i love it but it's $$. if using nivea and vaseline do the trick of keeping wrinkles and dark circles away, i'd most definitely be willing to try it and save myself a few bucks. great post!
The eyes are done so well! I always wanted MAC brushes!
amazing post, thank you for sharing your beauty tips. I have sensitive skin too I must try the nivea I use it only when I sunburn, and sometimes as night cream when my skin is very dry.
the asprin scrub seems great must try it!!
So I basically need to print this post out and tape it to my mirror, especially if it will help me look as gorgeous as you!!
I've been using Vasline as an eye cream lately and I thought I was a cheap weirdo, so it's nice to know someone else does it too! haha
I loveee that lip color you're wearing! I must get it! =]
Bisous,
La C.
You are very pretty :) and lovely blog by the way :)) ill be back to visit you ;)

Fabulous post! Your skin and makeup always looks so flawless. I think I need to look into the Shiseido foundation. Figuring out the best skin regime for your face takes a long time. I think I have finally figured it out for my combination prone to break out skin. Thanks for the tips.
Wow Nina, this is one Hell of a post! I demand truth in advertising and you are certainly it--looking like a million bucks!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. The detail and photos and links are most fantastic. I'm forwarding it to everyone I know :)

This is a great post.
You always look so fabulous!
I use the Dior powder foundation, but next I want to try the Shiseido Perfect Smoothing Compact Foundation.
great post!
love your make up!
you skin are incredible and gorgeous !
Wow...what a great post. You are totally gorgeous!! Love your products and methods.
Great post! I have a similar make-up ritual, though I skimp on my eyes a bit (too lazy for shadow). It's a wonderful natural look that underlines your beauty instead of masking your face! Now if onlly I had your hair...
wow... very informative. i like how you apply makeup.
Oh wow I lovee your makeup- Will try it at some point haha but its so many steps!
You look positively gorgeous.
BRAVO! :)
xo!!
GORGEOUS. I love the whole look especially those lips! Can't wait to go check out the shade you used...thanks for posting :-)

Despite it being "dry" and "prone to break outs", you have gorgeous skin! I like the little tutorial.
Great post, I love makeup. Although I love Chanel makeup and body products hehe it's an obsession ;)
Love your photos!
xoxo
Su
Great post. I like it because it's real. Not the magazine kind of make-up. (:
Amazing post!
Love the lips color!
meticulous post! Wow, thanks for spending time creating this Nina....although I'm not a huge makeup wearer (that sounds wrong, I'm just usually too lazy) I've picked up on a few new products I want to try.
Thanks :D
Gorgeoussss! xo

u look flawless! i'm so jealous! i have no clue w/ makeup and no matter how many products i buy it never works out. i wish i could go w/ u makeup shopping & have u work on me! oh a girl can wish...
totally awesome post! i can't imagine how long this must have taken to put together. your skin is amazing.
Great post! I absolutely love ur eye make up n hairdo, u look gorgeous!! I m a great fan of MAC n used to be a makeup junkie but i didn't wear makeup too often nowadays due to my sensitive eyes probably caused by d sinusitis. :(
This is my 1st visit to ur blog n would love to link u one day if i have my own blog.
thank you for all the wonderful comments! this post did take me forever to put together but since i was getting a lot of requests for one, i couldn't avoid it. i'm so glad you enjoyed it!
i should mention that the nivea creme does work for my skin but it may be too rich for a lot of people. the best way to apply it is to scoop some out, rub it between your fingers to emulsify it a bit, and pat it onto your skin. the key is to make sure u warm it up between ur fingers nicely. it's sort of like applying creme de la mer for those who know what i'm talking about.
mishka: i don't use any type of eye cream except the vaseline. i've tried several products but they weren't cutting it for me - either they would leave tiny bumps around my eye area or my sensitive skin couldn't tolerate it. so for now, vaseline it is. i don't think it does much for lines or dk circles, but it certainly does keep the area moisturized.
tom tuttle from tacoma: i'm sorry, i don't know any hair blogs. but if any other readers know of any good ones, please share!
phi style: i didn't disclose my eyeshadow brushes because they're generic ones that came in some sort of kit. my mom just passed them along to me. there's no name or anything - they just have bright pink handles.
I love this post! And the last picture is gorgeous!
Wonderful post! I so love that little Chanel brush, it certainly goes the distance. I've had mine for 7 years and it's still going strong!
What a wonderful way of segregation of the makeup for different parts for the face and then specify the types of color schemes...great post.
