Winter Leaves - Love & Lemonade

I'm gonna divide these into 2 parts cuz it's looong...and if you're suffering from some form of ADD like me, all these words on one page will make you take cover. So here we go with part one...

Q. VEE asked: If you could choose only one product to use for three months (aside from moisturizer for both face & body) what product would that be?
What is the one thing you can eat any time of day that you never tire of?
A. One product for 3 months that's not moisturizer?...That's hard...haha Let's see, I would have to say MOP C-Curl Creme for my hair. My hair can't live without it.

And one thing I can eat any time of day is cereal, just like you! I prefer corn flakes but if I wanna be indulgent, Cinnamon Toast Crunch is divine.

Q. ELIZABETH MARIE asked: Soo since we're both LA girls and it's a beautiful sunny day in mid-november...what are your top 3 pieces you need for fall/winer (the cali version of fall winter) because I'm having such a hard time...I want to buy all the warm and cozy stuff but I wore flip flops today!
A. I get cold easily (below 70 degrees is cold for me) so I really tend to bundle up once the temperature drops. Definitely boots (all lengths - ankle, knee high, thigh high), tight long sleeve tunics (awesome for layering under shorter sleeved tops), and tights in all different hues and textures. These pieces let me transition a lot of my spring/summer clothes into fall/winter.

Q. WENDYB asked: Does the hair rule just apply to the hair on your head. CAN I ASK ABOUT OTHER HAIR???? Just checking.
A. I laughed so much when I read this question...and yes, I shave my legs. ;)

Q. A STYLIZED HYSTERIA asked: Here's one- what or who has been the biggest influence on your fashion sense as an adult?
A. My mom was my biggest fashion influence growing up and that hasn't changed now. A lot of the aesthetics she instilled in me in my younger years have stuck and become a part of who I am and how I dress. I grew up hearing that black was chic, accessories can instantly change an outfit, and with heels it was the higher the better. My parents pretty much let me wear whatever I wanted, however I wanted so I did plenty of experimenting growing up. haha

Also, I've always loved how rock stars in the 60's and 70's dressed. As I said in this feature: "I’m obsessed with the way 60’s & 70’s musicians used to dress – like Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Robert Plant. The prints, colors, layers, and piles and piles of jewelry on top of their swagger…it all worked beautifully and organically. Oh, and definitely Patti Smith, too. She’s just amazing."

Q. NAMINE asked: What's your favorite perfume??

A. L'Eau D'Issey by Issey Miyake, no doubt. I've worn it since I was 13. But for fall/winter, I'll switch it up and wear Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel. It's Mister's favorite on me.

Q. MY SO CALLED FAB KELLY asked: I was wondering if you were free fridays.. because you know thats kellys day but i dont mind sharing them with you.
A. Baby, for you, I'm free everyday. haha xoxo

Q. SHARINA asked: What are your favorite magazines/reads? :) And where do you shop?

A. I think between Mister and I, we have a subscription to every magazine. Honest. But here are the ones I get happy about when they land in my mailbox: Los Angeles Magazine, Wired, Newsweek, National Geographic (I love the photography), American & French Elle, W, French Vogue, UK Bazaar, GQ, F1 Racing, Veranda, Elle Decor, Metropolitan Home, Professional Photographer Magazine, and Q Music Magazine. I also love Lula but I don't have a subscription. And I like the Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie catalogues for their photography.

I shop anywhere and everywhere. I love vintage stores and flea markets. And my readers know I definitely love Forever 21 and Target. I also like Zara and Levi's (for jeans). I do more online shopping, though, which means scouring eBay and basically I can end up ordering from any random site if I find something I like.

Q. HANAKO66 asked: Will we ever get to meet Kelly sans bag over head? lol!
Ummmmmmm when did you realize that photography was more than a hobby for you?
Ooooooooooooooh, and what is your FAVORITE candy?
A. I hope so!...but probably not. That stubborn bitch (love you Kels)

I dunno when photography became more than a hobby...it kinda happened accidentally. Someone asked me if I ever considered doing this professionally and up until that point it honestly never crossed my mind. And then when I mentioned to people that I might go "professional", the work kinda started pouring in. The last 3 months have been insane and I've had only a couple of free weekends but I LOVE it.

Oh man...my FAVORITE candy? So hard to pick one...but it's probably Swedish Fish (only the original red kind). Although their motto, "A friend you can eat" really peeves me out.

All images except the 1st one from google images.

I'll post up part 2 of my answers on Monday!

Tonight I'm making my tomato sauce and prepping for dinner tomorrow night. Hopefully I'll be able to plop myself in front of the tv tonight w/a glass of wine and catch up on my dvr recordings.

Tomorrow I'm shooting a birthday party and then in the evening my girls and I are watching New Moon (!!). Then we're coming back to my place for a chicken parmigiana dinner (2 of my girls are vegetarians so I'm making the chicken parm instead of braised short ribs (as discussed on twitter) - they can eat spaghetti since my sauce will be meatless). Sunday I promised Mister I wouldn't do any work so we're gonna have a date day!

Hope you have a loving, relaxing, fun weekend! I know I will! :)

I am such a Kelly fan!!!!!! Would love to see her sans the bag, but seriously, her outfits are so amazing, it doesn't really bother me....

So, I need to enlist your help. I am looking to create a world wide hair stylist guide to post as a permanent fixture on my blog. I know you're in the "know" so I thought you could come on over and contribute any info you have....also if you'd like to spread the word to anyone with a passion for beauty/hair, I would really appreciate it! Here's the link:
