Can I just say how weird it was working on this outfit post? I've been mainly behind the camera so it was a bit odd to be in front of it. So strange seeing my familiar face staring back at me from the computer. Oh, and I decided to post pics of me in glasses after this morning's contacts/glasses Twitter conversation. I'm sure eventually I'll get used to my contacts...til then, glasses ftw! Ha

I've put myself on an accidental shopping ban the past couple of months. I say accidental because without meaning to I haven't purchased any fashion items. Honestly, I've been unimpressed with the selection out there and frankly uninspired. But I saw this tee by Something Else by Natalie Wood and decided I had to have it...and I'm glad I ended my shopping ban with this. It's soft, slouchy and truly perfect. The back is cut a bit longer than the front and it goes with everything. I've basically been wearing it non-stop since I ordered it...but it could also be because this is the only new item of clothing in my closet. I am obsessed with Something Else now. I would wear every single thing in their collection...I think this might be my next acquisition.

Sorry for the non-existent outfit posts. My lack of them not only stemmed from the fact that I was on this shopping ban but also because we've been doing work to the house so it's been impossible to find a decent place to shoot. I'll just have to make do with the mess, I guess.

Some house cleaning (no pun intended):
  • I don't like to process my outfit photos because I like to show the clothes exactly the way they are. Unfortunately, some of the photos came out like crap so processing was needed to resuscitate them. In case you were wondering...or bothered...
  • My sale is still going on at my shop! Enter SAVE40 to receive 40% off your entire order. Sale won't last long...I'm working on getting the new items up (I have some AMAZING jewelry pieces going up that my gf made...so excited!).
  • Don't forget to enter Liz's Perricone giveaway! Ends tomorrow!
  • Tiff is having another Yumi Kim giveaway! Enter HERE.
  • Hanako66 is giving away a Bare Escentuals kit. Awesome, right? Enter HERE.

You're back and looking as great as always. Re: glasses v contacts, I'm a glasses person. I've never been able to wear contacts, my eye doctor tried over a decade ago to get me to wear them but after an hour of trying he said, "so glasses it is." And it has been, I love glasses, I have many pairs, including prescription sunglasses and match them to my outfits. They're an extension of my wardrobe and I love it.

Good luck with the contacts, the home upgrades and your many oter projects.

I love Something Else by Natalie Wood. I bought a bikini from Le Train Bleu that I had fallen for, and regretfully gave up because it was a bit too small for my ridiculous chest.

Of course, now I have to go look at more pieces from the line. Thanks, Nina. ;)

Love,
JP

Ooh I love the studded belt and purple ankle boots.

Hehe welcome to the world of contacts! I only started wearing them in 2007 because before then I was so afraid of touching my eye. Now I wear them almost every day (except for weekends or when I'm at home and I want to give my eyes a rest).

I love the t-shirt on you and how you paired it with the studded belt. Totally gives off that edgy/rocker vibe.
