summertime & the livin' is easy

secondhand romper, Forever 21 belt, Aldo shoes, vintage sunglasses from Nasty Gal Vintage, vintage clutch

Left arm & hand: vintage cuff, Forever 21 cuff, ring from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (index finger), ceylon sapphire engagement ring

Right arm & hand: vintage bracelet, bracelet from mom, bracelet from Cabo, Mexico, random beaded bracelets, vintage diamond eternity ring once belonged to FM's mom (thumb), large stone ring - gift from my mom (index finger)

Once the weather hits a consistent 80 degrees and up, my wardrobe sheds its multiple layers and strips down to a single piece - ie: dresses, rompers, and jumpsuits. I prefer enjoying the sun rather than fidgeting and adjusting my clothes. And more importantly, I don't want to waste a single minute of daylight figuring out what to wear.

I also decided to take some close-up shots of my jewelry since I get a lot of inquiries about them. There's no rhyme or reason to what I throw on and the pieces pictured are ones I wear the most often.

Btw, I can't tell you how much I appreciate your words of encouragement and kindness in regards to my last post. I honestly never considered quitting the blog - I was more dealing w/an overwhelming amount of stress and pressure. But all your comments and emails and tweets really helped pull me out of my funk. Really. I can't thank you enough and if it was possible, I would give each and every one of you a big hug. I really hope to be able to one day soon.

Pssst!...Here's a little preview of the shop: Femme Rationale SHOP
Launch date is right around the corner. :)

P.S. I've been wearing my hair straight the past couple of days and while it's fun to change things up, it makes me realize how much maintenance goes into a straighter style. (Sorry for the crappy pic...taken with Photo Booth)

Girl, you need a WendyB ring on those hands!

woohooo!! so glad you did an outfit post! the romper is freaking off the hook, and with those legs, its a perfect match!! straight hair is totally high maintenance, but looks pretty sexy...

yay for the store!

Linda said...

how do you wear your hair straight? it looks amazing on you. on me it is just flat and boring.

its sooo good to have you back!
Your hair looks great straight! But well, it looks good straight or curly. =)

Every time I see pictures of your hair in its full glory, it makes me hesitate about cutting my hair. I have been toying with the idea of cutting my hair for a long time and I'll probably do it when I return to Singapore this summer, but sigh, the sight of your magnificent tresses is already making me regret the idea of chopping off my hair, even though I haven't done it yet. I'm going to be a student soon (read: poor) so I have to go for a low maintainence style :P

Yay Nina! Glad to see you back looking gorgeous as usually! :)
And damn, your HAIR....but how come straight hair requires more maintenance than wavy? I am a total noob when it comes to hair styling and I just keep my hair straight. Or well, in the state it looked when I woke up. Haha!

*hugs!*

Your hair looks great both ways! There is so much volume when you wear it straight, mine just sits flat on my head.

You look amazing, always amazing! I love your hair straight but there's something about the waves that I love more. Maybe it's because I can't acheive that with my silly straght hair.

I've already got my eye on three-maybe four things on your store. I hope I'm lucky when the site goes live!

You look sensational in that romper! I love that one of your rings is from Puerto Vallarta--Mexico's an awesome country for buying sterling silver jewelry from. Have you been to Taxco? It's like the Sterling Silver capital...so much fun to stroll the quaint little town and browse jewelry to your heart's content.
